The Nomination Process

Screening

​

Reviewing gospel musical talents in six continent 8 nominees per each continent by more than 2 billion people around the world through phone text voting to ensure that the winners in each continent have the highest votes to meet specific qualifications and have been placed in appropriate fields such as Gospel Rock, Gospel Jazz, Gospel Country, Gospel Praise and worship, Gospel New Age, Gospel Rap, Gospel Classical and Latin, among others. The purpose of voting is not to make artistic or technical judgments about the voting, but rather to make sure that each candidate is eligible and placed in its proper category.

Nominating

​

Voting are made to specific short or long telephone numbers. To help ensure the quality of the voting, Votes are directed to one telephone company and supervised by all other phone companies to ensure transparency; each voting person can vote as many times as they so wish. They could also vote for all the nominees if the so wish. votes are tabulated by an independent accounting firm to be announced later.

Special Nominating 

​

In craft and other specialized categories, final nominations are determined by the nominees with the highest votes, four nominees per each continent are sponsored to contest in Canada 2019 for the prize of one million US dollars with consolation prizes for the other 23 contestants who could not win the grand prize.

Final Voting

​

Final contest of the 24 contestants from the 6 continents is held in Toronto Canada and the whole world will vote for the number 1 winner of the one million US dollars. The finalist is determined by the highest number of votes.  In this final round, votes gotten by the contestants again are tabulated by an independent accounting firm to be announced shortly.

Results

​

Results of contestants' voting are not known until the musical Awards presentation ceremony when names of the winners are delivered by the independent accounting firm in sealed envelopes. Gospel Musical Award winners are revealed during the Gospel Awards telecast live from Toronto Canada.
